Requirements and permissions

Cleat needs macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon, and macOS 26 for Apple Intelligence, translation and dictation. Every permission, and the feature behind it.

Requirements

macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon. It is 6.6 MB on disk and idles at 0.01% CPU.

Three features need macOS 26: Apple Intelligence, on-device translation through the Translation framework, and dictation through SpeechAnalyzer. Apple Intelligence additionally needs a Mac that supports it, with the feature turned on in System Settings.

Permissions

Each is requested the first time a feature needs it.
